Dear participants!
Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2019 will include a relay:
UNDER ARMOUR Relay | 3*5 km + 1*6.0975 km
A team of four people participates in the relay. Three athletes run 5 km each, and the fourth participant runs 6.097 km.
Each team gets ONE result capturing electronic chip. The chip is attached to a leg and is passed on in the relay transfer zone.
Recommendations: to save time, we recommend that the participant waiting in the relay transfer zone takes the chip off of the leg of the arriving participant, fastens it to his/her own leg and starts his/her stage. The chip is given to each team along with the starter’s package (one per team) at the Sport Fest UA 2019. The start of relay races will take place at 09:00 along with an individual race of 21.0975 km. For the 3*5 km + 1*6.0975 km relay, relay transfer zones are located at the marks of 5, 10 and 15 km.
The buses with the participants of the 2nd and 4th stages of the 4*5 km relay race will leave at 8:30 from the public transportation stop “Kontraktova Ploshcha located by Samson monument.
PLEASE, NOTE! Participants of the 3rd stage of 3*5 km + 1*6.0975 km will walk to the relay transfer zone along with a guide. The group will start walking from H.Skovoroda.
Important information:
- The first participant starts the race with a chip fastened to the leg;
- Team members may not exchange race numbers;
- Relay participants run in the order stated at registration;
- A finisher’s medal is given to each team member upon crossing the finish line.
