Dear runners!
As you already know, in current circumstances, we had to make the decision to change the date of the 10th WORK.UA KYIV HALF MARATHON, which was to take place in the capital city on April 4-5.
We were overwhelmed by the amount of questions from you (really logical questions, actually), so we simply must answer them. This is a compilation of the most frequently asked and most important questions that should dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
- IS KYIV HALF MARATHON CANCELLED?
— No, not at all!
Kyiv Half Marathon WILL BE HELD. However, it will not be held on April 4-5. Kyiv international half marathon 10th WORK.UA KYIV HALF MARATHON will be held in 2020, but it will be postponed to the second half of the year.
- When will Kyiv Half Marathon be held?
— In the second half of 2020.
We are currently working with KCSA to finalize the exact date for Kyiv Half Marathon. It will be announced as soon as it is approved, not later than March 31, 2020.
- Why did you change the date for Kyiv Half Marathon if the restrictions are imposed only until April 3?
— Unfortunately, at the moment it is impossible to predict the development of the epidemiological situation in Ukraine.
It is possible that the restrictions can be extended in time at the last moment. The sooner we make the decision to postpone the event, the more participants will be able to alter their plans and not lose the opportunity to become part of the WORK.UA KYIV HALF MARATHON.
- Will foreign participants be allowed to participate?
— Yes.
Indeed, we have previously made the decision that foreign athletes, including the running elite, will not be able to participate in the event on April 4-5 for the safety of participants.
However, with the postponement of Kyiv Half Marathon by almost six months, the epidemiological situation changes, so limiting participation of foreign participants is no longer appropriate.
- Is my registration still valid?
— Yes. You registration remains valid for the new date of Kyiv Half Marathon in the second half of the year. It means that we will #runtogether very soon!
- I want a refund. What should I do?
— Unfortunately, refund is not available according to the Regulations of Kyiv Half Marathon.
However, we can offer you the following options:
- your registration remains valid for the new date of Kyiv Half Marathon.
- if the new date does not work for you, your registration can be transferred to any of the summer or fall events of the Under Armour Ukrainian Majors Running League 2020 (MOLOKIYA LVIV HALF MARATHON, ZAPORIZHSTAL HALF MARATHON, TAVRIA V ODESA HALF MARATHON, RUN UKRAINE KHARKIV HALF MARATHON, WIZZ AIR KYIV CITY MARATHON). If you would like to choose this option, please, submit an email to [email protected] by April 27.
- What about Long Training on March 14?
— It will also be postponed.
All of your registrations remain valid. The new date of Long Training will be announced after we finalize the date of Kyiv Half Marathon.
We have never stopped working on organization of this grand running event. Just as much as you, we wish all of 16 500 runners to come to their starting lines to get their main victory in life – victory over yourself. We keep moving forward in this hard time and we encourage you to also keep running towards new victories and achievements.
