10th WORK.UA KYIV HALF MARATHON will take place on September 19-20, 2020. Due to the pandemics of COVID-19 and quarantine measures in the capital city, Run Ukraine, the organizing company of Kyiv international half marathon, has made a decision to postpone the event until the second half of the year of 2020. The new date has already been approved by Kyiv City State Administration.
“Today our country and the whole world are being tested by the virus. Of course, our team is also working on preserving running events, since this season has a significant meaning to us: this is the 10th anniversary of Kyiv half marathon and the 5th season of the Running League, – says Dmytro Chernitskyi, the General Manager of Run Ukraine. – We see the tendency of events being postponed all throughout Europe. This year will be very important to all of us: both participants and organizers. We must get healthier and go through this test with minimal losses. The fall will be saturated with running events. It will also become the rehabilitation period both for the country and for every family. This is the time when your support of every Ukrainian race will be of tremendous importance”.
All participant registrations remain valid for the new dates of the 10th WORK.UA KYIV HALF MARATHON.
Runners who will not be able to participate in Kyiv half marathon on September 19-20 can transfer their registration to any of the summer or fall events of the Under Armour Ukrainian Majors Running League 2020. In order to do that, please, submit an email to [email protected] with a request to transfer your registration, this must be done by April 27.
Run Ukraine keeps working on Kyiv Half Marathon without ceasing or giving up no matter the obstacles. We know that there are over 16 500 running hearts from Ukraine and all over the world who support us and trust us. Above all, we want to #runtogether with you. This is what gives us strength.
Do not panic. Keep optimistic, wash your hands and keep training. There will be a dawn even after the longest and darkest night. As runners, we know full well what a cool thing it is to watch a sunrise as you run.
September 19-20, 2020.
See you soon.
