Run Ukraine Running League is a program of events for amateurs, since professional athletes are not included in the rating results. For the first time the winners will be determined among men and women in 30 categories of professions. This is not the only innovation of the League. This year the finishers of the main courses will receive medals with the new design, based on the image of a prominent person of the host city. At the presentation of the running season, the team of Run Ukraine presented the new design of the medals for Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2017 depicting the portrait of a famous doctor – Mykola Amosov.

Anyone can join the races of Run Ukraine Running League by choosing a course according to their level of training: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km at the Kyiv marathon. In addition to the drive and spirit of competition, the participants of the all-Ukrainian League will unveil a new image of the country, discover cities and learn their history, find friends and like-minded people from different cities of the world. Each runner has his or her aspirations and goals, but there is a unifying goal – the grand prize. This year, the organizers will presented the winners with participation in the Prague International Marathon.

The team of Run Ukraine has set a goal this year to get IAAF BRONZE LABEL for the 8th Kyiv half marathon. To get the status in 2018, all the requirements must be already met in 2017. This status is awarded for 1 year and is strictly controlled by the International Association IAAF.

“Why do we claim the Bronze Label? If an organizer applies for the status for the first time, you should only start with the Bronze Label, gradually gaining the trust of international partners and increasing the status of the event. To control the level of organization and implementation of all requirements of the IAAF, a Technical Delegate will be appointed to come to Kyiv and monitor the process. After the event the Technical Delegate will write a report and only then the decision on awarding the status will be made” – commented the sport director of Run Ukraine Iryna Lishchynska.

Running competitions is not only an integral part of an active life, but also a conscious civil stand.
