For the first time Kyiv half marathon Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon will include a Family Run – a family race of 2 km. On April 9 Ukrainian families will come to the starting line and would feel what it is like to be a real racing team. Any number of family members can take part in this new race, bringing together parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren etc. Even parents with babies in strollers or carriers can join the Family Run. Each participant will get a branded event t-shirt..
This race was initiated by the organizers of Kyiv half marathon – the Run Ukraine company.
«It is the first time for us organizing a family race. There has been no similar races within mass running events in Ukraine. We believe that running can bring together people of different generations. Family Run is a chance for your family to experience a big sporting feast with lots of unforgettable emotions. We encourage our participants to start creating a running history of their family today», – says marketing and communication director of Run Ukraine Viktoriia Veremiienko.
Information about Kyiv Half Marathon
Kyiv international half marathon Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon has become a tradition of the city. This year the massive race will take place for the seventh time and will bring together about 10 thousand of fans of running from various cities of Ukraine and the world. With every year the number of participants is growing, but the prize fund of the competition is increasing as well. In 2017 it will amount to 146,000 UAH. The route of the half marathon has been certified by AIMS. Besides that, Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2017 has been certified by IAAF and received the highest rating of quality – “5 stars”. It means that the event will be organized by high standards with the appropriate level of safety and organization. Four individual courses will be open to participants this year: 21.0975 km, 10 km, 5 km and 2 km. There will also be a relay and corporate competitions. Traditionally, the organizers invite the youngest participants to participate in children’s races: 1,000 m, 500 m and 100 m.
